Pumpkin Pumpkin

Let’s give you a nose

Pumpkin Pumpkin

Let’s give you a scary smile

And now you’re a Jack O Lantern

The ghosts and the ghouls and the witches

They will run a mile

When they see my scary smile

Put me in the window

And I’ll chase the night away

Because I am a Jack O Lantern

I am a Jack O Lantern

I am a Jack O Lantern

We did a little Halloween party very simple and very nice, dig the pumpkin has given us the opportunity to spend some time with Dad. We then prepared a meal, including a delicious pumpkin soup and divine pumpkin muffins that Dad loved a lot. Some decorations, place mats for a pretty party table.

We started our bloc of November which covers the mathematics program, the quality of the numbers of 11-20, a review of four mathematical processes, the multiplication table for two and mathematical games.

All this is complemented by stories, for the 11, we saw the history of St. Paraskeva, a Christian saint of the 11th century St. Paraskeva lived in Thrace, and was very touched by the poverty of those around her and gave all his possessions to the poor. Highlight, she gave all her beautiful dresses to the poor. She disagreed with her parents and left Thrace. She was a time in Jerusalem, then left for Turkey, where she died. Her tomb was very honored.

Regarding the 12, I told the tale of Grimm’s The 12 princesses dancing.

I have not done everything I expected, fatigue is to go and I sluggish.

However, this year I am very satisfied with our circle that works very well. In the block, we will use the bean bags and count every two of five of five, ten into ten, and we are also making the table of 2 and sometimes we are counting from 1 to 99 so as to further integrate these figures .

In English, we learn the song Pumpkin, Pumpking :

And I’ll chase the night away

Because I am a Jack O Lantern

I am a Jack O Lantern

I am a Jack O Lantern

In German, we started the song Hansel und Gretel. The melody is very beautiful, but the lyrics are a bit difficult. As I did not find any others, I thought we were going to learn at least the first verse and we take it again next year.

I love this song, and it allows me to interact with these songs that my mother learned during her childhood. It is suitable she remembers memories since his father, who loved to sing with his children, had taught him many German songs we learn from september.

In French, I found a song that makes girls laugh a lot, The Witch Grabouilla/La sorcière Grabouilla.

The girls continued their knitting a little, but right now, they are more invested in construction toys. As for me I finished gloves and started  my future sweater.
